Points Not Of Interest in King's Quest 3 - Part 9
The original hint book that came with the first four King's Quest games had sections in it called "Points of Interest." At the end of each chapter, there was a section called "Points Not of Interest." This was one of my favorite parts of the book. :) This not only includes the various ways to die, but also things that will lose you points, cause you to lose the game, or things that aren't exactly in your interest because doing them prevents you from getting the full points in the game. (And sometimes some Easter Eggs or just funny things as well). Here is what the section in the hint book says: (page 83) "Sometimes it's fun to live on the edge. Try some of these things, but only after you've saved the game. As you descend the lab steps, kick the cat Go for a dip in the ocean maze, and try to return Stroll through the Great Western Desert Lie on your bed Look behind the tapestry in the hall outside your bedroom Take a long walk on a short plank (let the pirates get you) Prepare each spell incorrectly and watch how you die Hug the snowman Ignore Manannan's orders (end quote) Here are the points not of interest included in part 9: Step on Mama bear's flowers while she is tending her garden Try sitting in each of the three chairs at the Three Bears House Taste each of the three porridge bowls Lie in each of the three beds upstairs Open the door when the Bears are home -- and see what Papa bear does Watch the Three Bears leaving their house and returning Look at one of the <b>...</b>
